This folding desktop calendar from 1925 is a small and rare marvel. While there aren’t any publisher seals, we’re assuming this is a calendar published by the T. Hasegawa company, the same print shop that printed the series Hasegawa’s Night Scenes, and was known for publishing books, calendars, cards and more. We’re also assuming it’s Hasegawa as the artwork in the 6 woodblock prints that are part of this calendar are all in the style of the publisher’s stable of artists (Yoshimune, Koho, Gesso, etc.).

The calendar measures approximately 20″ wide by 7″ tall and folds down into a pocket-sized calendar that then accordions to sit on a table top. Each of the prints are in very fine condition with beautiful color and detail and no discernable discolorations.

We believe this calendar to be exceptionally rare as we’re unable to find any other copies of this item or the prints within it.
