SKU: MLS2022050 Category:

We have four artists that are known for their depictions of Noh drama prints: Tsukioka Kogyo, Sôfû Matsuno, Ryoshu Yamaguchi, and Hideki Hanabusa. Among them, Hideki’s are the most painterly in feel while still having extensive energy in their composition.

In Shojo you can feel the movement and the stop-motion of the actor, appreciating his vibrancy and patterning (and the use of gold mica accents).

The Woodblock Print

This oban-sized woodblock is in excellent condition; clean margins, clean verso, delicate colors and patterning without any discolorations. The gold mica is very much intact and shining brightly.
