This woodblock print is in as close to pristine condition as we've seen. Rich color with no discoloration anywhere. Full margins. Crisp details. Stamped "Made in Japan" on the verso. Looks to never have been framed as there is no residue on the verso.
About the Artist
Koho Shoda (ca. 1871-1946) was a Japanese artist associated with the shin-hanga (“New Prints”) art movement in Japan during the early 20th century. This movement was influenced by European Impressionism and its imagery focused on landscapes, women, and nature.
